This heavy antique mourning ring is truly unique! With a large centre cross made of old freshwater pearls over a black enamel top. This ring is actually a locket, however the inside is now empty. We can see some engraved numbers which could be a date or initials but it's hard to say for certain. The sides have amazing scrolled details!
From the hallmarks we can set this ring as being made in London in 1886. The TE initials inside could possibly be from Thomas Evans who was a ring maker in London during that time. This unique mourning rings and it's secret compartment is an amazing piece of history and a standout one of a kind piece!
